For season three of the Brazilian version of The Masked Singer, Globo has chosen Megaphone TV to drive audience engagement and interactive content for the reality show contest.

Globo is one of the largest media companies in the world, producing 2,400 hours of entertainment and 3,000 hours of journalism each year. They have already used Megaphone TV as part of their World Cup coverage and decided that we were the perfect partner for their reality show hit.

The Masked Singer is one of the world’s most popular format competition shows. It features celebrities concealed in costumes performing songs. Audiences are often shocked at who is under the mask.

Dozens of broadcasters globally have licensed the format. It is one of the most successful concepts of its kind.

The season three premiere episode saw the addition of Megaphone TV. Home audiences can now participate in quizzes, guess which celebrities are in costume, and enter to win prizes – all via their mobile devices.

Audiences made their guesses via their phones.

Surprise! It was legendary Brazilian actor Paulo Betti!

Globo’s use of Megaphone TV is unique, as all episodes are pre-recorded, but our interactive segments are added during the show’s broadcast.

This innovative application of our audience engagement platform opens new doors for broadcasters to monetize recorded content.

Even more exciting audience engagement segments are planned for future episodes. (We can’t reveal the secrets just yet!)

The Masked Singer is yet another addition to our long list of reality, and contest shows that we are a part of.
